Goodness, it has been some time since I popped on here, especially with a healthy recipe. But, you know, life gets crazy, and mine in no exception. Needless to say, so much is happening right now and I cannot wait to share it with you all.
But I'll save that for another day because I am still smitten over my new Christmas gift--an air fryer.
Seriously, why have I not bought one of these before???
I was a bit skeptical at first--I mean, how could it possibly make food taste "fried" without oil??--but I am a believer now. This thing is amazing.
That said, I decided to experiment today with some cinnamon apple chips. These were so easy to make and the dip topped everything off very nicely.
Note: I did not measure a thing, so everything here is just to preference.
Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients:
Apples of your choice (I used Gala)
Oil (Canola or Olive)
Cinnamon
Low-fat Vanilla Yogurt
PB Fit
Honey
Directions:
Slice apples really thin.
Coat slices lightly in oil and toss in cinnamon (feel free to add other spices for the season here i.e. nutmeg).
Spray wire rack in air fryer with non-stick spray.
Lay apples flat, do not overlap.
Cook at 375˚ for about 15 minutes, stopping every 4-5 minutes to flip.
While apples are frying, mix yogurt, PB Fit powder, and honey to create a dip. You're in charge here, so make it with as much or as little of everything as you like.
Let apples cool fully before serving.
